Rev. Brown is the seventh child and only son
born to the late Jaquline V. Brown.
Born in Newark, New Jersey and educated in
the Essex County public School system, Rev.
Brown graduated Orange High School in 1978.
He then went on to college at Thiel College in
Greenville, Pa., and completed his B.S. in
Criminal Justice From Rutgers University of
New Jersey. Rev. Brown then received his
Master's of Dvinity degree from the
Interdenominational Theological Center in
Atlanta, Ga., in May of 1991. Rev. Brown then
completed his Doctor of Ministry degree from the
United Theological Seminary in Dayton Ohio in
the spring of 1998.
Rev. Brown was ordained Deacon in 1984 and
Elder in 1986 and has sinced pastored
churches in Springfield, Ma., Chesnee, SC., and
Anderson, SC. Rev. Brown came to Miles
Memorial in the summer of 1998 and has
served as the Dean of Leadership Training
School on the district and Regional Level for the
past six years. Rev. Brown is married to the
former Delores Y. Newton of Jersey City, New
Jersey and they have two children; Paul Jr., a
senior at St. John's University in New York; and
Jessica Lynn, a Freshmen at North Carolina
A&T State University.
